- Irene Mae Slavsky, age 101, died peacefully at her daughter's Kirkland home August 22nd, 2016. She was surrounded by family.
Irene was born July 17, 1915 to John and Viola Bozinny in Ruso, North Dakota. In 1945 she married Ralph Slavsky. In the Sixties they opened and operated two 7-11 Stores in Kirkland. She retired in 1986. Irene was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, birds, playing bridge, traveling, reading and the Mariners.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph and her seven siblings. She is survived by her son Scott Slavsky (Rose), daughter Terri Kain (Gary) along with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A family grave side service will be held. We would also like to thank Evergreen Health Hospice for their loving help and care.
